MEET THE OWNERS

Chantal and Andy Donohoe

Chantal brings over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education and works closely with families through their enrolment and orientation journey, helping them feel informed, confident and connected as they join the service. She is passionate about building strong relationships with children, families and educators and enjoys mentoring and supporting the team to grow in their roles and continue strengthening their professional practice. Working closely with the team, Chantal helps guide the centre’s educational vision while maintaining high standards across the service.

Our approach

Family-Owned Early Learning & Preschool in Roseville

Explore & Develop Roseville is proudly owned and operated by local parents Chantal and Andy. Together with our team and families, they foster a warm, welcoming environment built on strong relationships between children, families and educators.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age into a safe, nurturing and educational environment designed to support confidence, curiosity and a strong foundation for learning. Our learning spaces are thoughtfully designed to feel calm and welcoming while providing the structure and guidance children need to grow, explore and develop independence. We believe children are capable learners, and our educators thoughtfully support their growing curiosity and development each day.

Families can access undercover parking via Lower Gibbes Street, just moments from Woolworths. We welcome families from Roseville, Castle Cove, Willoughby, Middle Cove, Chatswood and surrounding areas.

Our educational program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and offers a wide range of experiences based on the interests of both the group and the individual child. Through play-based learning and intentional teaching, we support communication and language development, early literacy and numeracy, social and emotional growth, as well as physical development and coordination.

A key part of our program is connecting children with the world around them. Through regular excursions, in-centre experiences and carefully chosen extra-curricular activities, children build independence, confidence and a sense of belonging within their local community.

Our preschool program provides a strong educational foundation for school and beyond, supporting children to develop the confidence, curiosity and learning skills for a successful transition to primary school.

Sustainable practices are embedded throughout our program. We value the use of natural materials and encourage children to develop respect for the environment and the world around them.

Through ongoing observation and thoughtful planning, we work in partnership with families to support each child’s learning journey. Families’ expertise, culture, values and beliefs are respected, and we recognise the important role families play in guiding their child’s wellbeing and development.

Nursery

0-2 years

Our nursery provides a warm, welcoming environment where children and their families feel a strong sense of security and belonging. We recognise that beginning care is a significant transition for both children and parents, and our team works closely with families to support a smooth and positive start.

Through orientation visits, ongoing communication and daily updates, educators work in partnership with families to understand each child’s routines, preferences and individual needs. This allows us to provide responsive care that respects each child’s natural rhythm throughout the day.

Toddler

2-3 years

The toddler years are a time of rapid growth, curiosity and increasing independence. Our toddler environment supports children as they begin exploring the world with greater confidence, developing language, social awareness and early problem-solving skills through play-based learning.

Educators intentionally support children in building important self-help and independence skills that form the foundation for the next stage of learning. Children are encouraged to care for their belongings, participate in daily routines and develop confidence in skills such as dressing, hand washing and toileting.

Preschool

3-5 years

Our preschool program supports children to build confidence, independence and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

Learning extends beyond the classroom through regular excursions and connections with the local community, helping children develop confidence and a sense of belonging. These experiences allow children to explore their local environment and build a deeper understanding of the world around them. Children also build responsibility and care for their environment through experiences such as caring for plants and animals.

We love Explore and Develop Roseville – highly recommend!! They are extremely inclusive and attentive to each child’s individual needs, always going above and beyond to support their growth and development. Explore and Develop Roseville is a beautiful daycare centre run by a warm and highly professional team of educators. The centre Director, Chantal, clearly goes above and beyond to promote a great workplace culture which in turn has a direct positive impact on the families and children, as well as other details such as being an immaculately clean centre, nutritious food, fun activities to enrich the children and foster a sense of belonging. I had to move centres due to location changes at work however I would have happily stayed u til the end of our LDC journey. My son thrived under the care of all the educators and formed wonderful secure bonds with each of them, often talking about them at the end of the day and excited to see them in the morning, making handover in the mornings a calm and confident experience for both of us. The peace of mind knowing I'm leaving my son in such a safe happy place made all the difference for me as a mum. Thank you E&D team ❤️

Fees & Inclusions

The daily fees for 2026

We are an approved Child Care Subsidy (CCS) service, which means eligible families will receive three days per week of subsidised care.

Use our CCS calculator for an estimate of your individual fees, or contact us and we’ll help you with it.

Our 2026 fees are outlined below. Note these fees are before CCS, which will significantly reduce out-of-pocket costs.

Our service is also eligible for Start Strong Fee Relief, providing a further saving for families of 3- and 4-year-old children, in addition to CCS.

Our daily fee is all-inclusive, covering nutritious meals, snacks and drinks, nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, educational programs and learning materials.
