Welcome to Explore & Develop Waitara

We enrolled our son at Explore and Develop Waitara for a 6-month stint while we were in Sydney, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. It came recommended by a friend, and it didn't disappoint. From my very first visit, I had a great feeling about the place — clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The educators were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help my son settle in, which made the transition so much easier for both of us. He quickly made good friends and genuinely looked forward to his days there. A special thanks to Sophie, his educator, who was always so friendly and patiently answered all my questions whenever I saw her. Her warmth made a real difference to our experience. The outdoor area is a real highlight — big, lovely, and with plenty of space for kids to run around and burn off energy. He also seemed to really enjoy the food they provided. The owners are friendly and accommodating, and their app is a great touch — being able to see updates on sleep, nappy changes, and meals throughout the day gave me real peace of mind. Parking at pickup and drop-off was easy too, with plenty of space out front. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a caring, well-run daycare.

We’re incredibly grateful to Explore & Develop Waitara for the wonderful care and support they provided to our child. After visiting several centres in the area, we’re confident this was the best choice for our family. Our child truly loved their class and teachers, and the team made the transition to school smooth and positive. We transferred our three-year-old daughter to this childcare after relocating, and from the very first day we knew we had made the right decision. She settled in immediately and comes home every day full of smiles, stories, and excitement about the friends she’s made. The educators are incredibly warm, patient, and genuinely caring toward every child. They put so much thought into the daily activities, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports both learning and emotional growth. The educational program is excellent and on par with preschool standards, our daughter attends another preschool three days a week, and the consistency in learning has been wonderful. Chantal and Andy, the new owner, are doing an amazing job running the centre with heart and professionalism, and it truly shows in the way the childcare operates. Thank you to Chantal and all the educators for taking such loving care of our daughter throughout 2025. We are beyond grateful and highly, highly recommend this childcare to any family looking for a safe, supportive, and enriching place for their child.

I revisited this Centre when I saw there was a new Director. Chantal & her husband are absolutely lovely, professional & warm, & this translates to the Educators who were wonderful. They are all welcoming, the kids get loads of great stimulation & I like that staff were also consistent. My daughter really enjoyed her time at Explore & Develop Waitara and wish we had gone here sooner for our daughters care.

The staff at Explore and Develop have been exceptional: caring, friendly, attentive, nurturing, and genuinely invested in our son’s growth. Thanks to them, he shows strong readiness for school, particularly in social skills, emotional resilience and critical thinking.
